NATIONAL CERTIFICATES: N1-N3 Electrical Engineering

The National Certificates N1-N3 in the Electrical Engineering, programme cover heavy current as well as light current. Heavy current includes the distribution of electricity, domestic wiring in civil and industrial industries. Light current includes fields such as digital electronics and industrial electronics.

ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS

What do I need to have completed before I can apply to study this course?

  • N1 - Minimum of Grade 11 with Mathematics above 50%
  • N2 - N1 or equivalent 
  • N3 - N2 or equivalent

How do I get an apprenticeship to allow me to become an electrician?

  • You must be registered as an apprentice with a company or placed through the college at a company.

COURSE DURATION

How long will it take to complete the qualification?

  • Each level is one trimester (12 weeks)
  • Classes offered full-time or part-time (Evening classes & distance learning)
  • Enrolment in January, May or September
