Minimum Requirements Incumbent should have a relevant Senior Certificate / Grade 12/ NCV Certificate (Level 4). A tertiary qualification i.e., Degree/ Diploma in Business Studies or relevant qualification (NQFL 6) majoring with an appropriate professional qualification in education equivalent with a minimum of REQV 13S. At least 5-8 years’ experience as a lecturer at TVET Sector Colleges. Sound knowledge of theory and practical in the relevant field. Should be registered with SACE. Sound communication skills and computer literacy. Practical experience in specific aspects of the subject field as well as the ability to perform practical training will be an added advantage. A valid driver’s license.

Knowledge and implementation of digital learning. Management of resources including human resources. Knowledge of relevant prescripts, legislation and policies.
Duties Lecturing, assessment and moderation. Monitor student performance and attendance. Provide required assistance to Student Work Placement and Work Based experience programmes. Staff performance management and staff discipline. Establish a learning and teaching environment that enables all learners to be productively engaged in individual and cooperative learning. Manage resources to promote optimal learning and teaching for all learners. Efficiently and effectively supervise all activities. Work together with the College’s and learners towards the achievement of relevant learning outcomes. Excellent management of content and context within the timeframes stipulated accompanied by relevant intervention strategies. Maintain records meticulously and analyse them to diagnose learner needs and teaching. Use records to adjust teaching strategies and improve learner achievement. Provides feedback using a variety of strategies.

Use remedial and enrichment measures that instil confidence in learners to achieve intended learning outcomes. Understand and use a range of forms of assessment techniques to continuously maximise learner achievement. Use methods of assessment to raise the standards of teaching and learning. Ensure that learners optimally achieve the relevant Learning Area/ Subject outcomes. Maintain assessment results that show outstanding levels of competence and achievement. Participates fully and take a leading role in initiating and delivering professional development activities.

Demonstrate exemplary conduct and truly display the purpose and intent of the College’s code of professional ethics. Network with relevant stakeholders and encourage the development of extra-mural or co-curricular activities. Conduct timed regular classroom visits to provide clear, valuable, guidance, support and constructive feedback to college. Manage and utilize efficiently resources, furniture and equipment. Implement both internal and external policies consistently to support teaching and learning.
