National Certificates N4-N6: Engineering Studies

NATIONAL CERTIFICATES N4-N6: ENGINEERING STUDIES

This course consists of an N4 Certificate, N5 Certificate and N6 Certificate. After completing the N6 Certificate students need to submit proof to the Department of Higher Education and Training, of 24 months experience in industry/practical before they can qualify for the National N-Diploma. This qualification will enable students to enter the Building and Construction industry in the capacity of supervisor or foreman.

ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS

What do I need to have completed before I can apply to study this course?

  • To enter N4 – Grade 12 with 4 appropriate subjects above 40%, N3 or equivalent qualification with appropriate subjects
  • To enter N5 – N4 Certificate or equivalent qualification
  • To enter N6 – N5 Certificate or equivalent qualification

How do I qualify for Distance Learning?

  • To enter: N3 or 24 years and 5 years’ experience in Building & Construction or related industry

COURSE DURATION

How long will it take to complete the qualification?

  • Each level is one trimester (12 weeks)
  • Enrolment in January, May or September
  • Part-time options are available
